Axel's take: 7.5/10

A practical, generally clean base, but nearby nightlife can undermine a good night’s sleep. a simple independent 3-star in Normandía, convenient for airport access, scored for what it is.

Hotel Bogotá DC is a simple 3-star in Normandía, better suited to airport access and the botanical garden than a historic-center sightseeing trip. It’s a reasonable pick for travelers who want straightforward comfort: Booking.com and Expedia guests generally rate cleanliness well, and recent reviews often praise helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Breakfast is included, and the hotel offers family-sized accommodation.

The main compromise is sleep. Reviews across several sites repeatedly describe loud music from nearby bars and clubs, including reports in 2026. Request a rear-facing room, but don’t assume silence; internal noise also comes up. Breakfast is basic, and some guests report limited ventilation and no air-conditioning. We’d skip it for a noise-sensitive layover or an early flight, despite its convenient airport access.

• Best for: short stays in western Bogotá; travelers visiting the botanical garden; families needing larger rooms

• Watch out for: late-night bar and club noise; limited ventilation in some rooms; basic breakfast

• Location: Normandía location near the botanical garden, with convenient road access to El Dorado Airport.

• Rooms: Simple accommodation with family options; recent guests flag limited ventilation and no air-conditioning.

• Cleanliness: Generally a strength, supported by positive cleanliness ratings on Booking.com and Expedia.

• Service: Helpful staff receive frequent praise, though a few recent guests report reservation-handling problems.

• Amenities: Included American breakfast, free Wi-Fi, restaurant, terrace, elevator and 24-hour reception.

• Fees and surprises: Airport transfers cost extra; the official site allows pets for a supplement despite contrary booking-site listings. Confirm parking arrangements.
