Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong airport-side choice, with excellent breakfast but uneven room comfort. a full-service 4-star business hotel near Bogotá’s airport, scored for what it is.

GHL Hotel Capital is a full-service 4-star business hotel that makes particular sense for airport stopovers and work trips. We'd pick it for the consistently praised staff, clean rooms and substantial breakfast buffet. Booking.com and Expedia guests broadly agree on those strengths, while the complimentary airport shuttle adds practical value. This is comfortable, dependable accommodation rather than a luxury retreat.

The catches are room temperature, noise and an ongoing refresh. Recent guests report rooms without controllable air-conditioning and traffic noise; Tripadvisor also flags older interiors. April 2026 reporting describes lobby and room renovations continuing after the bar's reopening, so confirm current work before booking. We'd skip it for a sightseeing-first stay in the historic center, or if cool, quiet sleeping conditions are essential.

• Best for: airport stopovers; business travelers; travelers prioritizing breakfast and service

• Watch out for: warm rooms and limited temperature control; traffic and occasional aircraft noise; confirm current renovation work

• Location: Convenient for El Dorado and Salitre shopping; less practical for historic-center sightseeing.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and useful workspaces, but some interiors feel dated and guests report limited cooling.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength overall, supported by high cleanliness ratings and repeated recent praise.

• Service: Helpful, attentive staff are among the most consistent positives across guest-review sites.

• Amenities: Breakfast buffet, restaurant, refreshed bar, gym and spa; free airport shuttle with limited operating hours.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is listed as free; pets and early or late departures can incur charges; confirm renovation disruption.
