Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong business base with standout staff, less convenient for sightseeing. a full-service 5-star business hotel in Salitre, near the airport, scored for what it is.

Bogotá Marriott is a full-service 5-star business hotel in Salitre, and we'd choose it for airport access and dependable comfort rather than a sightseeing-first stay. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, cleanliness and breakfast; recent feedback remains strongly positive overall. Comfortable rooms, four restaurants, a heated indoor pool and a spa make it more appealing than a basic airport stopover. The executive lounge is another strength if your booking or status includes access.

The main compromise is location: this is a business-district base, not somewhere to step straight into Bogotá's historic sights or nightlife. Expect to arrange transport for those outings. Marriott explicitly says there is no airport shuttle, despite conflicting third-party listings. Breakfast and lounge access aren't universal inclusions. We'd skip it for a characterful city break, but it's a strong pick for work or a comfortable night between flights.

• Best for: business travelers in Salitre; comfortable airport stopovers; eligible Bonvoy lounge users

• Watch out for: transport needed for historic sights and nightlife; no hotel airport shuttle; breakfast and lounge access depend on booking

• Location: Convenient for Salitre offices, nearby shopping and airport access; less suited to sightseeing on foot.

• Rooms: Comfortable, business-oriented rooms; Marriott lists soundproof windows and blackout curtains.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across guest ratings, supported by positive 2026 feedback.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming staff are among the most consistently praised features.

• Amenities: Heated indoor pool, whirlpool, spa, 24-hour gym, four restaurants and an eligibility-based executive lounge.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is complimentary; breakfast may cost extra, and Marriott ties free in-room Wi-Fi to direct Bonvoy bookings.
