A strong luxury choice for food lovers, with room selection worth getting right. a boutique five-star luxury hotel on Passeig de Gràcia, scored for what it is.

Monument is a boutique five-star in a historic Passeig de Gràcia mansion, and it’s a strong pick for a food-focused Barcelona break. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the helpful staff, cleanliness and comfortable rooms, while the location puts Casa Batlló and La Pedrera within an easy walk. Three-Michelin-star Lasarte is the dining draw; the more casual BERA opened in the remodeled ground-floor space in April 2026. The rooftop terrace and pool round out the appeal.

The caveat is that not every room delivers the same experience. Some Tripadvisor guests report dark interiors or noise near lifts and service areas, alongside occasional housekeeping lapses. Ask about outlook and room position before booking. Breakfast can cost extra, depending on your reservation. We’d choose it for attentive city-hotel luxury and dining, but look elsewhere if guaranteed quiet is your priority.

• Best for: food-focused couples; luxury city breaks; Gaudí sightseeing and shopping

• Watch out for: Room outlook and noise vary; Occasional housekeeping lapses; Breakfast not always included

• Location: Excellent Eixample base, a short walk from Casa Batlló and La Pedrera.

• Rooms: Comfort is widely praised; confirm outlook and avoid positions near busy service areas.

• Cleanliness: Strong ratings across Booking.com and Expedia make cleanliness a clear strength.

• Service: Helpful staff earn consistent praise, with occasional housekeeping and problem-handling misses.

• Amenities: Rooftop pool and terrace, destination dining, wellness treatments and a 24-hour gym.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast and airport transfers can cost extra; BERA is the current ground-floor restaurant.
