Axel's take: 8.0/10

A practical airport pick with welcoming staff, good breakfast and some uneven room comforts. an independent 3-star airport and business hotel, scored for what it is.

Airport View is an independent 3-star airport and business hotel, and a strong pick for a short Accra stopover. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and the breakfast spread. The complimentary airport shuttle makes flight connections easier, while a pool, gym and rooftop lounge give it more substance than a basic overnight hotel.

The trade-off is uneven room comfort: some guests across those sites report very hard mattresses, while bathroom maintenance also draws occasional criticism. Trip.com guests reported renovation drilling in November 2025, acknowledged by management; completion is unconfirmed, so ask before booking a daytime rest. We'd choose it for airport convenience and personable service, but skip it if soft beds, consistently polished bathrooms or a sightseeing-first location are priorities.

• Best for: overnight flight connections; short business trips; travelers prioritizing helpful service

• Watch out for: some very hard mattresses; uneven bathroom upkeep; confirm renovation work has finished

• Location: Close to the airport and Marina Mall; better suited to flight connections than a sightseeing-first stay.

• Rooms: Generally clean and comfortably equipped, but mattress firmness and bathroom condition vary.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength in recent reviews, supported by solid cleanliness ratings across booking sites.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are the clearest recurring highlight across several sites.

• Amenities: Pool, gym, massage facilities, restaurants, rooftop lounge and complimentary airport transfers.

• Fees and surprises: Arrange the shuttle with flight details; early check-in can cost extra, and renovation completion remains unconfirmed.
