A comfortable Bang Tao base, provided you’re happy relying on the shuttle. A 4-star apartment-style resort inland from Bang Tao Beach, scored for what it is.

Diamond Resort Phuket is a 4-star apartment-style resort, not a beachfront retreat. It’s a strong pick for travelers who want kitchen-equipped suites and useful facilities rather than luxury polish. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff and clean, comfortable rooms. The long swimming pool is a genuine draw, backed by a gym, sauna and the generally well-liked Infuse restaurant.

The compromise is the setting: getting to Bang Tao Beach and Boat Avenue is easier by the free scheduled shuttle than on foot. Reserve seats ahead; guests and management acknowledge crowding at busy times. Expedia also currently flags neighboring construction and possible noise, so ask about the outlook from your specific room. We’d choose it for a practical longer stay, but skip it for effortless beach access or guaranteed daytime quiet.

• Best for: Families wanting kitchen facilities; Couples comfortable using a shuttle; Longer stays around Bang Tao

• Watch out for: Neighboring construction and possible noise; Not beachfront; limited appeal for walking; Shuttle reservations and peak-time crowding

• Location: Inland from Bang Tao Beach; free scheduled shuttles serve the beach and Boat Avenue.

• Rooms: Kitchen-equipped suites with balconies; entry-level suites are 33 square meters.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent reviews, though occasional room-condition complaints remain.

• Service: Friendly, responsive staff earn repeated praise across Tripadvisor, Expedia and Agoda.

• Amenities: Long outdoor pool, children’s pool, gym, sauna and Infuse restaurant.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast may cost extra and airport transfers are charged; Expedia flags neighboring construction.
