Axel's take: 7.3/10

A practical budget stop with free parking, but breakfast and consistency are missing. a no-frills 2-star near Walden Galleria and Buffalo airport, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 2-star in Cheektowaga is a sensible short-stay base for drivers visiting Walden Galleria or using Buffalo airport. We'd pick it for practical basics rather than atmosphere: free parking, in-room microwaves and refrigerators, and nearby places to eat. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests often praise clean, spacious rooms and helpful staff, making it a reasonable budget option when you mainly need somewhere to sleep.

The trade-off is consistency. Alongside those positive reports, guests describe uneven bathroom and carpet cleaning, small pillows, and occasional maintenance problems. Don't assume the Baymont name means breakfast: recent reviews repeatedly confirm none is provided. We'd skip it if you want a walkable downtown stay, breakfast on site, or reliably polished rooms; for a brief shopping trip or overnight stop, it makes more sense.

• Best for: budget travelers with a car; Walden Galleria shopping trips; short airport-area stays

• Watch out for: no breakfast provided; uneven housekeeping and maintenance; mixed bedding comfort

• Location: Convenient for shopping, restaurants and airport access; not a downtown walking base.

• Rooms: Basic, often described as spacious; microwaves and refrigerators are useful, but bedding comfort varies.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive feedback, tempered by repeated bathroom and carpet-cleaning complaints.

• Service: Helpful staff draw frequent praise, though responsiveness is not uniformly reliable.

• Amenities: Free parking and WiFi, a fitness room and guest laundry; no breakfast.

• Fees and surprises: A deposit applies; dogs have a size limit and additional fee, and early check-in can cost extra.
