Hotels in YerevanA simple independent city-center hotel, rather than a full-service four-star
6.7/10
Excellent for exploring central Yerevan, but room allocation can make or break the stay.
Opera Avenue is a simple independent hotel near Yerevan’s Opera House, not the conventional four-star experience its own website suggests. Its strongest asset is the walkable location, with restaurants and major sights close by. Booking.com’s much larger review pool is broadly positive, especially about location and cleanliness, while many guests also praise helpful staff. It can work for a short, location-first stay.
The catch is the room itself. Booking.com, Tripadvisor and Yandex guests repeatedly describe basement or inward-facing rooms with little daylight, poor ventilation and noise from breakfast or neighboring rooms. Other rooms have proper windows or balconies, so confirm the exact room and floor before booking. Breakfast and problem handling draw mixed reactions, and Expedia says there is no elevator. We’d skip it for light sleepers or anyone expecting consistent four-star comfort.

Best for: Location-first city explorers; Short stays with a confirmed windowed room
Watch out for: Basement or inward-facing rooms; Breakfast-area and street noise; No elevator
Location: Central and highly walkable, close to the Opera House and Northern Avenue.
Rooms: Room types vary substantially; confirm exterior windows, floor and access before booking.
Cleanliness: Generally positive in the larger review pool, with some housekeeping and odor complaints.
Service: Many guests praise helpful staff, but complaint handling is less consistent.
Amenities: Breakfast, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, shared kitchen and a 24-hour front desk; breakfast feedback varies.
Fees and surprises: Expedia lists free parking; the bigger surprise is room placement, and there is no elevator.
