Questions families ask
Which Seoul rooms give all four of us a proper bed?
Royal Hotel Seoul’s Premier Quad and Ramada Dongdaemun’s Deluxe Quadruple both have four single beds. Skypark Kingstown has a double and two singles, while the Ambassador has a king and bunks. Holiday Inn Express Hongdae has two queens; RYSE and Orakai Daehakro have two doubles, so those options require bed-sharing.
Are the apartments still one room, or would we be booking separate rooms?
Orakai Insadong and Oakwood are single apartments, not connecting hotel rooms, but they do not keep everyone in one shared bedroom. Orakai has three bedrooms; Oakwood has two. Both add a kitchen, laundry and separate living space. If sleeping together in the same room is essential, choose one of the conventional quad rooms instead.
Can we add a crib or rollaway to a room for four?
Do not assume an extra bed fits just because the hotel offers rollaways. Holiday Inn Express and RYSE need room-specific confirmation, and Skypark does not provide extra beds. The Ambassador offers free cribs for babies through twelve months with advance reservation. Orakai Daehakro does not offer cribs. Always give the hotel every child’s age before booking.
How much more does a room for four cost than a double?
There is no reliable same-night comparison here between a four-person room and each hotel’s cheapest double, so a family-room premium cannot be stated. Across these options, Ramada and Orakai Daehakro are lower-cost conventional choices, while Orakai Insadong offers particularly good apartment value. Oakwood sits higher. Compare the full booking for four, including breakfast and any extras.
Which neighborhood is easiest for a family sightseeing trip?
Myeongdong suits a central shopping-and-sightseeing stay, while Insadong and Jongno work well for cultural sights. Dongdaemun offers shopping and several subway options. Hongdae is especially useful for airport trains, dining and shops, though some sightseeing requires cross-city journeys. Choose Gangnam or COEX mainly when your plans focus south of the river rather than historic central Seoul.
