Questions families ask
Should we book two queens or two doubles?
Two queens give each pair more sleeping width than two doubles. Hampton Brickell, EB Hotel, Residence Inn Sunny Isles Beach and Eden Roc offer two queens for four without a sofa bed. Acqualina, Kimpton EPIC and Candlewood use doubles. Check the exact bed configuration on your confirmation, because some room descriptions use doubles and queens inconsistently.
Can a crib or rollaway solve the sleeping arrangement?
Do not assume so. EB Hotel does not offer rollaways, while Four Seasons Miami permits neither a crib nor a rollaway in its two-double Premier Cityscape room. Several other hotels advertise extra beds without confirming permission in the four-person category. Ask about the exact room, the children's ages, fees and whether the added bed changes permitted occupancy.
How much more does a room for four cost?
The uplift varies considerably. At Candlewood, EB Hotel and Hampton Brickell, a four-person room can be only a small step above the cheapest room for two on the same night. Larger luxury categories at Acqualina and The Surf Club require a much bigger jump. Compare the final total too: resort or destination fees, parking and breakfast can change the overall value.
Which neighborhood works best for a family sharing one room?
Brickell suits car-free city stays: Hampton has restaurants nearby and the free Metromover half a block away. Downtown puts waterfront sights within reach, but neither area is beachfront. Mid-Beach works for beach-and-pool days; Sunny Isles and Surfside suit quieter, resort-focused trips farther from South Beach. Airport hotels make more sense for stopovers than walkable sightseeing.
How much room will four people actually have?
Freehand's 240-square-foot family room is compact for four, while Hampton's 316 square feet keeps everyone in one sleeping space. Tradewinds adds a separate living area within its 450-square-foot suite. Faena provides 634 square feet plus a balcony. For much more separation, The Surf Club's two-bedroom suite includes a kitchen and two full bathrooms within one accommodation.
