Choose Santiago for a neighborhood routine rather than a procession of sights: breakfast at the market, time in the church square and residential streets west of Calle 70. Calle 59 gives you a straightforward walk toward Plaza Grande. It is our strongest compromise for families and longer stays that still want the historic city within reach.

- Walk east along Calle 59 to Plaza Grande; R87 serves Santiago; from MID, use R907 plus a walk, or an airport taxi.
- After dark
- The square is social on dance nights; residential side streets generally feel much quieter than the Calle 60 restaurant circuit.
- Where to look
- Parque Santiago. Market meals and neighborhood life suit longer stays; Tuesday dancing makes the square livelier than surrounding streets.Calle 59, Calles 72–76.
