Kolonaki is Athens in café-and-boutique mode rather than souvenir-shop mode. Skoufa, Tsakalof and the streets below Lycabettus mix designer shopping with longstanding neighbourhood institutions. The Museum of Cycladic Art and Benaki’s Greek-culture collection make this particularly rewarding for visitors whose interests extend beyond ancient ruins.
