#9 of 9 hotels in Midtown & Reid Park by Axel's take. Midtown & Reid Park is #3 of 6 places to stay in Tucson. The best hotels in Midtown & Reid Park, ranked · Where to stay in Tucson

Axel's take: 6.7/10

Spacious suites and a solid breakfast, but upkeep makes this a compromise. an aging 3-star all-suite hotel in east Tucson, scored for what it is.

This aging 3-star all-suite hotel is a practical option if space matters more than polish. Separate sitting areas, microwaves and mini-fridges make the rooms useful for families, while included breakfast and free parking help the value. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the generous breakfast and friendly staff. We'd consider it for a short, budget-conscious stay rather than a hotel-centered vacation.

The catch is inconsistent upkeep, not just old-fashioned decor. Recent reviews across several sites describe stained carpets, worn furniture, smoke smells and uneven housekeeping, although other guests report clean rooms and comfortable beds. The pool, hot tub and gym add appeal, but maintenance feedback is mixed. We'd skip it if dependable cleanliness or freshly updated rooms are priorities; the extra space doesn't fully compensate for the uncertainty.

  • Best for: Budget-conscious families needing extra space; Short stays with a car

  • Watch out for: Uneven housekeeping and maintenance; Worn carpets and furniture; Smoke smells reported in nonsmoking rooms

  • Location: East Broadway location near shopping and restaurants; better suited to driving than a downtown walking trip.

  • Rooms: Roomy suites with separate sitting areas, microwaves and mini-fridges; condition varies.

  • Cleanliness: Many satisfactory stays, but recent cross-site complaints make housekeeping a meaningful concern.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength, though problem handling is not universally praised.

  • Amenities: Included buffet breakfast, outdoor pool, hot tub, gym and Wilbur’s Grill; restaurant hours are limited.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and Wi-Fi are free; pets and airport transportation cost extra, and pet deposits may apply.
