Axel's take: 7.8/10

A practical airport overnight with helpful staff, dated rooms and a closed seasonal pool. a no-frills budget hotel beside Tucson airport, now listed as Comfort Inn & Suites, scored for what it is.

This no-frills airport hotel is a good pick for a short, practical stay rather than a Tucson vacation base. The former Baymont at this address is now listed by Choice Hotels as Comfort Inn & Suites. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable beds and generally clean rooms. Included breakfast, parking and an airport shuttle make it useful for travelers catching flights.

The trade-offs are aging rooms and uneven upkeep: recent guests mention tired furnishings and occasional bathroom-cleaning misses, although positive cleanliness reports remain stronger overall. The swimming pool is currently closed; Expedia lists its annual closure from September 2 through June 30. Confirm shuttle hours before an unusually early or late flight. We'd skip it for a pool-focused stay or if fresh interiors matter more than airport convenience.

• Best for: travelers catching early flights; budget-conscious airport stopovers; short business stays

• Watch out for: pool closed September 2–June 30; dated rooms and uneven upkeep; confirm shuttle hours and current hotel name

• Location: Very convenient for Tucson airport; better for flight connections than a walkable sightseeing stay.

• Rooms: Guests often find beds comfortable and rooms spacious, but furnishings and bathrooms show their age.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive across sites, with some recent bathroom and linen-cleaning complaints.

• Service: Friendly, accommodating front-desk staff are the most consistent strength across guest reviews.

• Amenities: Breakfast, Wi-Fi, a gym and airport shuttle are listed; the seasonal swimming pool is currently closed.

• Fees and surprises: A security deposit and extended-parking charges are listed; Choice now markets this address as Comfort Inn & Suites.
