Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong extended-stay base, but check renovation disruption before booking. a practical 3-star all-suite hotel in St. Philip’s Plaza, scored for what it is.

This 3-star all-suite hotel is a strong pick for longer Tucson visits, with in-room kitchens, included breakfast and restaurants within walking distance. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, convenient plaza setting and generally clean rooms. Free parking and nearby riverside paths add everyday usefulness; we'd choose it for practical comfort rather than polished interiors.

The main caveat is renovation work: September 2026 guests reported construction, dust and daytime noise, and an August guest found the fitness center closed, with alternative gym passes offered. Confirm the current work schedule and gym availability before booking. Some guests also describe tired furnishings and uncomfortable seating. It's a good fit for families and university visits, but we'd skip it if a construction-free stay is essential.

• Best for: families wanting kitchen-equipped suites; longer stays with a car; University of Arizona visitors

• Watch out for: recent renovation dust and daytime noise; fitness center availability needs confirmation; some tired furnishings and uncomfortable seating

• Location: Walkable plaza restaurants and nearby riverside paths; campus is a drive, not on the doorstep.

• Rooms: Kitchen-equipped suites offer useful living space, though furnishings and seating draw some criticism.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised across sites; recent renovation dust is a separate concern.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength in recent reviews.

• Amenities: Free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi and an outdoor pool; confirm the gym has reopened after renovation.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is complimentary; pets incur a nonrefundable fee, and EV charging is off-site.
