Axel's take: 8.8/10

Spacious suites and standout staff make this a strong family base, despite road noise. A practical 3-star vacation-club hotel with apartment-style suites, scored for what it is.

This 3-star vacation-club hotel is a strong pick for families and longer stays, with roomy studios and suites, kitchen facilities, and more recreation than a typical mid-range hotel. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the cleanliness and genuinely helpful staff, including in recent 2026 reviews. The heated outdoor pool, hot tub and game room give families good reasons to spend time on-site. We'd choose it for practical comfort rather than resort atmosphere.

The main compromise is the busy-road setting: traffic noise crops up across review sites, so request a room away from Speedway, ideally facing the pool. It's better as a driving base than a walk-out-the-door downtown stay. Hilton confirms breakfast isn't available and parking now costs extra, despite older reviews describing it as free. The 10 a.m. checkout also deserves planning. Light sleepers and travelers wanting full-service dining should look elsewhere.

• Best for: Families wanting space and games; Longer stays with self-catering; University visitors with a car

• Watch out for: Traffic noise in street-facing rooms; Paid parking and no breakfast; Early 10 a.m. checkout

• Location: A practical driving base on busy Speedway Boulevard, not a downtown pedestrian location.

• Rooms: Generously sized studios and suites with kitchen facilities; request a room away from the street.

• Cleanliness: Consistently strong praise across sites, including recent 2026 guest reviews.

• Service: Friendly, helpful front-desk staff are the clearest recurring strength.

• Amenities: Heated outdoor pool, hot tub, game room and gym; Hilton says breakfast is unavailable.

• Fees and surprises: Hilton now lists paid self-parking; older free-parking reports are outdated. Checkout is 10 a.m.
