Axel's take: 8.4/10

A strong boutique base for city exploring, with construction noise worth checking before booking. An upscale city boutique hotel on lively Dizengoff Street, scored for what it is.

Jacob Samuel is an upscale city boutique hotel, now part of Prima, rather than a full-service luxury property. It's a strong pick for travelers who want Dizengoff's restaurants and shops within easy reach and the beach roughly ten minutes away. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the helpful staff, comfortable rooms and cleanliness. Café Popular's bistro and downstairs bar add appeal for evenings close to home.

The trade-offs deserve attention: entry-level rooms are just 14 square meters, and breakfast is served at neighboring cafés rather than an in-house buffet. Nearby construction appears in guest reports across several sites during 2025; confirm its current status before booking, especially if you sleep lightly. A minority also describe tired furnishings or cleaning lapses, although overall cleanliness ratings remain strong. We'd skip it if generous space, guaranteed quiet or on-site parking are priorities.

• Best for: Couples on a city break; Solo travelers exploring on foot; Restaurant and nightlife seekers

• Watch out for: Nearby construction reported in 2025; current status unconfirmed; Compact entry-level rooms; No on-site parking

• Location: Walkable Dizengoff–Arlozorov corner, surrounded by dining and roughly ten minutes from the beach.

• Rooms: Small Classics measure 14 square meters; larger rooms and balcony categories offer more breathing room.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings, with a minority of guests reporting cleaning or maintenance lapses.

• Service: Friendly, accommodating staff are a consistent strength across Booking.com and Expedia.

• Amenities: Café Popular bistro and bar, free Wi-Fi and in-room coffee machines; breakfast at adjacent cafés.

• Fees and surprises: No on-site parking; airport transfers cost extra, and nearby construction needs checking directly.
