Axel's take: 8.9/10

A characterful city base with standout staff and cocktails, rather than full-service luxury. a small, upscale city boutique hotel near Habima Square, scored for what it is.

Hotel B Berdichevsky is a small, upscale boutique hotel near Habima Square and Rothschild Boulevard, and a strong pick for a couples’ city break. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, clean rooms and walkable location; Booking.com’s strong cleanliness and comfort scores reinforce that picture. Bellboy, the cocktail bar downstairs, gives the place a distinctive evening identity, while the spa adds an option for downtime.

Think intimate city hotel, not full-service luxury. Entry-level rooms are compact, breakfast is served at nearby cafés rather than an in-house buffet, and this is not a beachfront address. Drivers should confirm the hotel’s paid arrangement at a nearby parking lot, since spaces depend on availability. We’d choose it for restaurants, culture and cocktails, but skip it for a spacious, beach-centered stay.

• Best for: couples on a city break; cocktail and restaurant enthusiasts; travelers exploring without a car

• Watch out for: compact entry-level rooms; breakfast at nearby cafés; off-site parking subject to availability

• Location: Walkable base near Habima and Rothschild Boulevard; not beachfront.

• Rooms: Comfort scores are strong, but smaller categories suit light packers best.

• Cleanliness: Recent guest feedback is consistently positive across major review sites.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff are the clearest recurring strength in recent reviews.

• Amenities: Bellboy cocktail bar, spa treatments and free Wi-Fi; breakfast is at nearby cafés.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast inclusion depends on the booking; nearby parking costs extra and is not guaranteed.
