#1 of 8 hotels in Beitou Hot Springs by Axel's take. Beitou Hot Springs is #9 of 9 places to stay in Taipei. The best hotels in Beitou Hot Springs, ranked · Where to stay in Taipei
Axel's take: 9.1/10
A standout hot-spring retreat, provided you want relaxation rather than central Taipei convenience. a luxury 5-star hot-spring resort in Beitou’s hills, scored for what it is.
Grand View is a luxury 5-star hot-spring resort that makes a convincing case for slowing down. Spacious rooms, private spring baths and balconies are the draw, but the service earns equally consistent praise. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly describe thoughtful staff, excellent cleanliness and generous room extras. We'd choose it for a couple of restorative nights, not simply as a base for sightseeing.
The trade-off is the hillside setting: shops, restaurants and the MRT aren't conveniently on your doorstep, although a free station shuttle helps. Breakfast is a Taiwanese or Western set rather than a buffet. The communal baths are nude, gender-separated and restricted to guests over 12; outdoor facilities close for Monday maintenance. Skip it if nightlife, spontaneous dining or easy city access matters more than soaking.
-
Best for: couples on a hot-spring break; travelers prioritizing attentive service; unhurried stays outside central Taipei
-
Watch out for: hillside location away from the MRT; communal-bath age and nudity rules; Monday outdoor-facility maintenance
-
Location: Quiet hillside setting; free Beitou and Xinbeitou station shuttles operate first-come, first-served.
-
Rooms: Entry rooms are listed at 50 square meters including balconies; private spring baths are a consistent highlight.
-
Cleanliness: Strong across sources: Booking.com rates cleanliness 9.5, and recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise it.
-
Service: Recent reviews consistently praise courteous staff, personal touches and thorough room introductions.
-
Amenities: Private baths, communal hot springs, outdoor swimming pool, spa and restaurants; breakfast is served as a set.
-
Fees and surprises: Bring swimwear and a swim cap for the outdoor area; check Monday closures and meal inclusions before booking.
