#5 of 8 hotels in Beitou Hot Springs by Axel's take. Beitou Hot Springs is #9 of 9 places to stay in Taipei. The best hotels in Beitou Hot Springs, ranked · Where to stay in Taipei

Axel's take: 8.7/10

Come for private hot-spring baths and quiet, not doorstep access to Taipei. an upscale hot-spring resort in Beitou’s hills, scored for what it is.

Asia Pacific is an upscale hot-spring resort in Beitou’s hills, not a basic 3-star city hotel. It’s a strong pick for a short soaking break: private in-room spring baths are the main draw, backed by public baths, an indoor pool and family activities. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, helpful staff and the peaceful setting. The appeal is spending time here rather than rushing between Taipei sights.

The trade-off is convenience. The hillside location makes the free MRT shuttle useful, but guests flag gaps in its schedule; check the timetable before heading out. The 4 p.m. check-in also makes a one-night visit feel short. Breakfast earns mixed enthusiasm. Confirm maintenance dates, since the hotel announces property-wide service suspensions. We’d skip it for a sightseeing-heavy city stay.

  • Best for: couples seeking private hot-spring baths; families planning a resort break; travelers prioritizing quiet

  • Watch out for: hillside location and scheduled shuttle; 4 p.m. check-in; 11 a.m. checkout; confirm property-wide maintenance dates

  • Location: Quiet hillside setting, roughly a 20-minute walk from Xinbeitou; free scheduled MRT shuttle.

  • Rooms: Private spring baths are the highlight; check room dimensions and bed setup when booking.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent reviews, with strong cleanliness ratings on major booking sites.

  • Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise friendly, helpful staff.

  • Amenities: Public hot-spring baths, indoor and children’s pools, restaurant, VR games and craft activities.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and MRT shuttle are free; bring disposable toiletries and confirm maintenance closures.
