Axel's take: 8.0/10

A solid airport stop, with friendly staff but some maintenance concerns. a practical 3-star airport hotel with breakfast included, scored for what it is.

This 3-star Holiday Inn Express is a strong pick for an airport overnight rather than a Spokane sightseeing base. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff; Booking.com’s strong cleanliness and service scores reinforce that picture. Included breakfast, free overnight parking and a complimentary airport shuttle make it a practical, good-value package.

The reservations are worth knowing. Several 2026 guests report inadequate hot water, while pool-temperature complaints and hot-tub outages make the leisure facilities less dependable than the amenity list suggests. IHG confirms there is no on-site restaurant, despite older listings mentioning one. Its published shuttle hours also conflict, so confirm your pickup before an early flight. We’d choose it for convenience, but skip it for a pool-focused family break or a walkable downtown stay.

• Best for: Travelers flying from Spokane; Short business stays; Drivers using a park-and-fly package

• Watch out for: Repeated hot-water complaints in 2026; Pool temperature and hot-tub reliability; Conflicting published airport-shuttle hours

• Location: Convenient for airport access; less suited to exploring downtown on foot.

• Rooms: Generally spacious and comfortable, but several recent guests report cold showers.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings and frequent praise, with some housekeeping lapses on longer stays.

• Service: Friendly, helpful reception and shuttle staff are recurring strengths.

• Amenities: Breakfast, Wi-Fi, gym and indoor pool; confirm hot-tub operation. No on-site restaurant.

• Fees and surprises: Overnight self-parking is free; extended airport parking requires separate arrangements, and dogs incur a fee.
