Axel's take

a no-frills 2-star airport motel with a reported closure

6.0/10

Airport convenience, but reported closure makes this one to skip for now.

This is a no-frills 2-star airport motel, but we'd skip it for now: Expedia lists it as closed from September 14, 2025, through December 31, 2026, with dates subject to change. San Jose city records also identify a master lease of this exact property. The Motel 6 website remains online, so don't treat the listing as confirmation that ordinary overnight stays are available.

Before that reported closure, the appeal was practical: a short drive to SJC, nearby light rail, free parking and pet-friendly rooms. Expedia guests often praised helpful staff and adequate comfort, while other reviews described worn rooms, uneven housekeeping and nighttime noise. Ratings differ sharply between sites, making this a mixed budget option rather than a dependable bargain. Even if reservations resume, we'd choose elsewhere for a quiet night or consistently well-kept rooms.

Best for

Budget airport stopovers, if reopened
Travelers with pets, if reopened

Watch out for

Reported closure through December 31, 2026
Uneven room condition and housekeeping
Nighttime noise

Location: Near SJC and Karina Court light rail; convenient for transit rather than downtown sightseeing.
Rooms: Basic exterior-corridor rooms; guest reports range from comfortable to worn and poorly maintained.
Cleanliness: Mixed evidence: clean-room praise sits alongside housekeeping and dirty-room complaints.
Service: Helpful staff recur in Expedia reviews, though ratings elsewhere are less favorable.
Amenities: Listings advertise free Wi-Fi, free parking, pet-friendly rooms and coin laundry; current availability is unconfirmed.
Fees and surprises: Expedia reports an extended closure; confirm public lodging operations directly before making any booking.
