Axel's take: 8.4/10
A charming, walkable retreat whose breakfast and staff outshine its aging rooms. A traditional upscale 4-star inn and spa near the beach, scored for what it is.
The Bellmoor is a traditional upscale 4-star inn, not a beachfront resort, and it's a strong pick for a relaxed Rehoboth getaway. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, comfortable beds and substantial hot breakfast. Gardens, fireplace lounges and the spa give it more personality than a standard beach hotel, while restaurants, shops and the boardwalk are an easy walk away.
The catch is uneven polish: several recent guests describe tired furnishings, particularly in garden rooms, and occasional housekeeping lapses. Upper-floor garden rooms lack elevator access. Budget for the hotel's 15% resort fee plus tax, 1% impact fee and seasonal parking charges. Both outdoor pools closed September 30, 2026, until spring. We'd choose it for atmosphere and location, but skip it if you expect uniformly fresh luxury rooms or year-round swimming.
