Axel's take: 8.8/10
Spacious suites and useful extras make this a strong base for drivers. A practical 3-star extended-stay hotel off Route 1, scored for what it is.
This is a practical 3-star extended-stay hotel between Lewes and Rehoboth, not a beachfront resort. We'd pick it for families or longer visits: generous suites have equipped kitchenettes, and breakfast, parking and guest laundry are included. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise comfortable beds, clean rooms and helpful staff. The remodeled former Heritage Inn delivers good value through space and useful amenities rather than luxury.
The main compromise is location: plan to drive to the beaches and boardwalk, and there's no complimentary local shuttle. The outdoor pool is seasonal, while dogs incur nightly fees plus a refundable deposit. A few guests describe housekeeping lapses or disappointing breakfast experiences, but these remain exceptions to strong feedback. We'd skip it for a car-free beach holiday.
