Axel's take

a family-run 4-star boutique hotel in Montmartre

9.2/10

A standout Montmartre boutique hotel, provided you can live with compact rooms.

This family-run 4-star in Montmartre is a strong pick for travelers who value personal service over sprawling facilities. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise exceptionally helpful staff, spotless rooms and comfortable beds; Booking.com’s excellent ratings reinforce that picture. The artistic interiors have personality, and the location puts cafés, neighborhood shops and two Métro stations within easy reach. We’d put it high on the list for a couples’ city break.

The main compromise is space: standard doubles are just 12 square meters, and even higher categories remain compact. Montmartre’s hills also matter, and the hotel explicitly says it is not accessible for guests with reduced mobility; some top-floor rooms require stairs. Breakfast, parking and the reservation-only hammam cost extra. Skip it if you need generous rooms, step-free access or a full-service restaurant.

Best for

  • couples on a Paris city break
  • Montmartre café and neighborhood explorers
  • travelers who prioritize attentive service

Watch out for

  • compact rooms and limited luggage space
  • hilly approach and no reduced-mobility accessibility
  • stairs to some top-floor rooms
Location
In the Abbesses neighborhood, near restaurants, Sacré-Cœur and Blanche and Abbesses Métro stations; expect hills.
Rooms
Artistic, air-conditioned rooms with well-reviewed beds; standard doubles are 12 square meters, deluxe doubles 16.
Cleanliness
A consistent strength, with recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly describing immaculate rooms.
Service
Warm, proactive staff are the clearest standout; reception and concierge assistance operate around the clock.
Amenities
Breakfast buffet, honesty bar, small gym and reservable hammam; no full-service restaurant.
Fees and surprises
Budget for city tax and any breakfast, parking or hammam charges; parking is limited and the hammam requires reservations.
