#4 of 9 hotels in Le Port by Axel's take. Le Port is #3 of 6 places to stay in Nice. The best hotels in Le Port, ranked · Where to stay in Nice

Axel's take: 8.2/10

A comfortable city base with helpful staff, but not a beachfront address. a practical 4-star city hotel in eastern Nice, scored for what it is.

NH Nice is a practical 4-star city hotel: a strong pick for room space and tram access rather than seaside atmosphere. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise clean, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and the varied breakfast. The rooftop pool and terrace add a welcome summer bonus. We'd choose it for a straightforward sightseeing stay, especially if being outside the busiest tourist streets appeals.

The trade-off is location: the Old Town is roughly 15–20 minutes away on foot, and this is not a beachfront hotel. Traffic noise crops up across review sites, so light sleepers should request a quieter room. The hotel lists the outdoor rooftop pool as open May–September; October–April stays miss that attraction. We'd skip it if beach access or Old Town atmosphere matters most.

Best for: sightseers happy using trams; families wanting more room space; summer travelers wanting a rooftop pool
Watch out for: traffic noise in some rooms; not beachfront or in the Old Town; rooftop pool operates May–September
Location: Tram access is convenient; allow roughly 15–20 minutes to walk to the Old Town.
Rooms: Space and comfort are strengths; some guests mention wear or intrusive noise.
Cleanliness: Generally dependable, with strong cleanliness ratings on Booking.com and Expedia.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring positive across recent guest reviews.
Amenities: Seasonal outdoor rooftop pool, terrace, restaurant, gym and sauna—not an indoor-pool hotel.
Fees and surprises: Parking is nearby public parking, not on-site; breakfast may cost extra depending on the booking.
