#8 of 9 hotels in Arenas & Airport by Axel's take. Arenas & Airport is #6 of 6 places to stay in Nice. The best hotels in Arenas & Airport, ranked · Where to stay in Nice

Axel's take: 7.6/10

A practical airport stopover, but not our pick for a Nice holiday. a simple 3-star airport hotel on Nice’s western edge, scored for what it is.

This simple 3-star ibis is a good fit for a short airport stopover rather than a Riviera escape. Booking.com guests praise clean rooms and helpful staff, and recent Accor reviews reinforce those strengths. Terminal 1 is roughly a 15-minute walk away, with a nearby tram stop making trips into Nice straightforward. The restaurant, bar and terrace are useful extras for an overnight stay.

The main compromise is space: standard rooms are compact, and bathrooms can feel tight. Tripadvisor and Accor reviews also reveal uneven reception service, while some guests report weak or noisy air-conditioning. Breakfast and parking cost extra unless included in your booking. We'd choose it for flight convenience and simple comfort; skip it if you want roomy accommodation or Old Town on your doorstep.

  • Best for: overnight airport stopovers; short business trips; travelers comfortable using the tram

  • Watch out for: compact rooms and bathrooms; uneven reception service; air-conditioning complaints

  • Location: Near the airport and Cassin/Kirchner tram stop, rather than central Nice; beaches are a walk away.

  • Rooms: Standard rooms are about 14 square meters: functional, but tight for a longer stay.

  • Cleanliness: Generally a strength, supported by Booking.com ratings and recent guest feedback.

  • Service: Many guests praise helpful staff, but dismissive reception service recurs in reviews.

  • Amenities: Restaurant Baieta, bar, terrace, free Wi-Fi and paid parking cover the stopover essentials.

  • Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusions; parking and pets carry extra charges, and city tax applies.
