#8 of 9 hotels in Le Port by Axel's take. Le Port is #3 of 6 places to stay in Nice. The best hotels in Le Port, ranked · Where to stay in Nice

Axel's take: 6.8/10

Useful kitchenettes and a handy location, but tired rooms make this a compromise. a budget 2-star aparthotel near Place Garibaldi, scored for what it is.

This budget 2-star aparthotel is a practical base for exploring Nice, rather than somewhere to spend much downtime. Place Garibaldi, Old Nice and tram connections are close, while kitchenettes and on-site laundry suit travelers keeping meals and longer stays manageable. Booking.com guests rate the location notably higher than the rooms; Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews also regularly praise its convenience and helpful staff.

The catch is inconsistent upkeep. Recent guests across Expedia, Tripadvisor and Accor describe worn furnishings, cramped bathrooms and maintenance problems, alongside others finding their studios clean and functional. Service gets mixed reports too. The rooftop pool is permanently closed, and daily cleaning is not included as standard. We'd consider it for an independent, budget-minded city break, but skip it if spotless bathrooms, polished rooms or full hotel service are priorities.

Best for: budget-minded city explorers; travelers who want a kitchenette; independent longer stays
Watch out for: permanently closed rooftop pool; uneven room upkeep and cleanliness; limited included housekeeping
Location: Strong for Place Garibaldi, Old Nice and trams; not a beachfront property.
Rooms: Functional air-conditioned studios and apartments, but recurring reports of dated furniture and small bathrooms.
Cleanliness: Many guests find rooms clean, but recent dirt and bathroom-condition complaints make consistency a concern.
Service: Helpful staff earn frequent praise, although recent reviews also describe unhelpful reception and poor problem handling.
Amenities: Kitchenettes, free Wi-Fi, laundry and optional breakfast; the rooftop pool is permanently closed.
Fees and surprises: Parking and extra cleaning cost more; weekly housekeeping is included for stays of eight nights or longer.
