Axel's take: 7.1/10

A practical sightseeing base, with breakfast crowds and dated surroundings to accept. A no-frills budget hotel in Canada's Fallsview district, scored for what it is.

Comfort Inn Fallsview is a no-frills budget hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario—not the United States. We'd choose it for convenient sightseeing rather than a special hotel experience: Fallsview Casino and the Incline Railway are close by, and restaurants are easily reached on foot. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Included breakfast, an indoor pool and a seasonal outdoor pool strengthen its appeal for short family trips.

The compromises are an older property, uneven service reports and a breakfast room that Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly describe as too small. Expect queues at busy times and a separate parking charge. Despite the name, don't assume your room overlooks the falls. It's a sensible pick for travelers spending most of their time out; we'd skip it for polished interiors or leisurely breakfasts.

• Best for: Budget-minded sightseers; Families on short breaks; Fallsview Casino visitors

• Watch out for: Crowded breakfast room; Separate parking charge; Dated surroundings; falls views not guaranteed

• Location: In Ontario, Canada, near Fallsview Casino and the Incline Railway.

• Rooms: Basic rooms earn comfort praise, but guests also report dated finishes.

• Cleanliness: Generally positive room-cleanliness feedback, though not uniformly so.

• Service: Recent Expedia reviews praise helpful staff; Tripadvisor reports are more mixed.

• Amenities: Included breakfast, free Wi-Fi, indoor pool, hot tub and seasonal outdoor pool.

• Fees and surprises: Parking costs extra; confirm the room's outlook rather than relying on the Fallsview name.
