Axel's take: 8.4/10

A strong airport stopover, with welcoming service but little room to spread out. a mid-range airport business hotel with compact rooms and a rooftop pool, scored for what it is.

This mid-range airport business hotel is a strong pick for a short stopover, rather than a Mumbai sightseeing base. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, helpful staff and the breakfast buffet. The rooftop pool and runway views add interest beyond the usual business-hotel basics, while the restaurant and round-the-clock gym make staying on site practical.

The main compromise is space: compact rooms and limited luggage room recur in Expedia and Reddit feedback. The surrounding industrial area is functional rather than inviting, so we'd skip it for a leisurely city break or a family stay needing generous space. Check breakfast inclusion, and arrange your airport ride: Marriott explicitly says there is no airport shuttle, despite some booking-site references to one.

• Best for: Short airport stopovers; Business travelers; Plane enthusiasts seeking runway views

• Watch out for: Compact rooms with limited luggage space; Industrial surroundings; No airport shuttle; check breakfast inclusion

• Location: Convenient for airport stays, but the industrial surroundings favor practicality over exploring on foot.

• Rooms: Comfortable and modern, but standard rooms are compact; request a runway view if that matters.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and recent Tripadvisor stay reports.

• Service: Helpful reception, attentive restaurant staff and responsive housekeeping receive repeated praise.

• Amenities: Rooftop pool, 24-hour gym, restaurant, bar and room service exceed bare-bones airport-hotel basics.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast is not universally included; Marriott lists no airport shuttle and complimentary self-parking and valet parking.
