Axel's take: 7.6/10

A practical airport-area pick with character, but uneven booking handling and maintenance. a compact, art-themed mid-range hotel in Andheri East, scored for what it is.

Dragonfly is a compact, art-themed mid-range hotel in Andheri East, better suited to airport stops and local business than a sightseeing-led Mumbai holiday. Its distinctive rooms give it more personality than a standard business hotel. Booking.com and recent Expedia guests frequently praise comfortable rooms, helpful staff and good food. Complimentary breakfast and two-way airport transfers strengthen the practical appeal, according to the hotel.

The catch is consistency: Expedia and Tripadvisor include reports of reservation problems and maintenance faults alongside very positive stays. These are reasons to reconfirm arrangements, not evidence that every stay disappoints. Book the exact room category—the cave-style rooms are not standard—and confirm transfer arrangements directly. We'd choose it for a short, practical stay, but skip it when seamless service matters more than character.

• Best for: short airport stopovers; Andheri East business trips; couples booking a specific themed room

• Watch out for: uneven reservation handling and maintenance; themed rooms require the correct category; confirm whether bathroom-renovation work has finished

• Location: Convenient for Andheri East offices, the airport and Chakala metro.

• Rooms: Standard and themed categories differ substantially; cave styling and large bathtubs are category-specific.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive feedback, including Booking.com's 8.6 cleanliness score, with some recent exceptions.

• Service: Helpful staff attract frequent praise, but reservation handling receives complaints across sites.

• Amenities: The hotel advertises breakfast, Wi-Fi, a restaurant, parking and two-way airport transfers.

• Fees and surprises: Visitors are prohibited in guest rooms; a March 2026 guest reported bathroom-renovation drilling, with completion unverified.
