#1 of 1 hotels in La Mejorada by Axel's take. La Mejorada is #3 of 7 places to stay in Merida. The best hotels in La Mejorada, ranked · Where to stay in Merida

Axel's take: 7.6/10

A practical budget base with a pool, but uneven rooms and unreliable Wi-Fi. a no-frills 3-star near Mérida’s Mejorada Park, scored for what it is.

Las Dalias Inn is a no-frills 3-star near Mejorada Park, roughly a 15-minute walk from Mérida’s main square. It’s a good pick for budget sightseeing, especially if you want free parking and an outdoor pool rather than boutique styling. Booking.com guests praise the helpful staff, location and pool; Expedia’s overall feedback also points to generally satisfactory cleanliness and good value.

The trade-off is consistency. Recent Expedia and Despegar guests report weak shower pressure and tired facilities, while unreliable Wi-Fi is a clearer recurring weakness across sites. Service earns plenty of praise, but some recent arrivals describe an indifferent welcome. We’d choose it for a straightforward sightseeing stay, not a polished hotel experience. Skip it if dependable internet for work or consistently well-maintained bathrooms are priorities.

  • Best for: budget-minded sightseers; travelers with a car; travelers wanting an affordable pool

  • Watch out for: unreliable Wi-Fi; weak shower pressure and tired facilities; uneven service

  • Location: Near Mejorada Park, about 15 minutes on foot from Plaza Grande and the cathedral.

  • Rooms: Simple air-conditioned rooms; recent feedback flags maintenance and shower-pressure issues.

  • Cleanliness: Generally satisfactory across major booking sites, though the property is not uniformly well maintained.

  • Service: Often praised as helpful and honest, with some recent complaints about an indifferent reception.

  • Amenities: Outdoor pool, garden and free parking are the main draws; no elevator is listed.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking is included; confirm dining availability and arrival times directly, as listings differ.
