Good value near the bus terminal, but dated rooms and unreliable lifts need weighing. a simple, budget-friendly hotel near Mérida’s ADO bus terminal, scored for what it is.

Plaza Mirador is a simple, budget-friendly hotel in Mérida’s historic center, now part of Grupo Kavia. It’s a strong pick for bus travelers who want air conditioning, a courtyard pool and parking without paying for boutique polish. Expedia and Agoda guests repeatedly praise clean rooms and helpful staff, and Plaza Grande is roughly a 10–15-minute walk away. We’d choose it for a practical stopover rather than a special occasion.

The trade-offs are dated furnishings, basic bathrooms and uneven maintenance. Recent guests across sites mention noisy rooms or air conditioning, while repeated elevator complaints make a ground-floor request sensible if stairs are difficult. Breakfast inclusion and restaurant hours deserve confirmation. We’d skip it if you need dependable step-free access, reliably quiet nights or consistently modern rooms.

• Best for: ADO bus travelers; budget-conscious sightseers; families prioritizing a pool

• Watch out for: Repeated elevator reliability complaints; Dated rooms and basic bathrooms; Noise from guests and some air conditioners

• Location: A short walk from the ADO terminal and roughly 10–15 minutes from Plaza Grande.

• Rooms: Basic air-conditioned rooms; dated fittings, firm beds and noisy AC feature in some reviews.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised on Expedia and Agoda, though individual bathroom-cleaning complaints remain.

• Service: Helpful staff receive frequent praise, but reception experiences are not uniformly warm.

• Amenities: Courtyard pool, free Wi-Fi and free parking; confirm restaurant hours and elevator operation.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast is not included with every booking; confirm your meal plan before arrival.
