Axel's take: 8.7/10

Spacious rooms and strong breakfasts make this a dependable El Poblado base. a comfortable mid-range city hotel in El Poblado, scored for what it is.

V Grand is a comfortable mid-range city hotel in El Poblado, and a strong pick if you want room to spread out without staying amid the busiest nightlife. Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the spacious, clean rooms, while breakfast and friendly staff earn plenty of mentions across sites. We'd choose it for a relaxed sightseeing base or a business stay rather than a luxury-hotel experience.

The quieter setting means you're not right on the doorstep of every bar and restaurant; expect some walking or rides. Recent feedback is mostly positive, though a few guests describe uneven service or missed room-supply replenishment. Airport transfers cost extra. We'd skip it if being in the center of the evening action matters more than space and a calmer setting.

• Best for: couples wanting a calmer base; business travelers; families needing larger rooms

• Watch out for: some walking or rides to nightlife; occasional service and replenishment lapses; airport transfers cost extra

• Location: El Poblado location near dining and parks, but removed from the busiest nightlife streets.

• Rooms: Generously sized studios and suites; upper-floor Grand View suites offer panoramic city views.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall cleanliness feedback, with occasional housekeeping or replenishment lapses.

• Service: Staff friendliness is a recurring strength, although a few recent guests report inconsistent follow-through.

• Amenities: Buffet breakfast, restaurants, a gym, spa treatments, free Wi-Fi and free self-parking.

• Fees and surprises: Airport transfers and pets carry extra charges; confirm the tax treatment of your booking before arrival.
