Axel's take: 7.8/10

A stylish El Poblado base, provided you choose your room carefully. a design-led mid-range boutique hotel in El Poblado, scored for what it is.

The Art Hotel is a mid-range boutique hotel with exposed brick, contemporary art and a handy El Poblado location near Parque Lleras. It's a good pick for travelers prioritizing restaurants and nightlife over resort-style facilities. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, cleanliness and comfortable beds, while the leafy Up Garden rooftop adds character. An August 2026 relaunch emphasizes dining and cultural events, rather than confirming a complete room renovation.

Room choice is the catch: several Tripadvisor guests describe dark, inward-facing rooms, and sound insulation draws complaints even though other guests report quiet nights. Breakfast feedback is mixed, with Booking.com generally more enthusiastic than Tripadvisor. We'd request an exterior-facing or balcony room and confirm its position before booking. Skip it if natural light and reliably undisturbed sleep are essentials.

• Best for: couples exploring El Poblado; restaurant and nightlife-focused travelers; travelers who prefer distinctive design

• Watch out for: dark, inward-facing rooms; variable sound insulation; registered guests only in rooms

• Location: Near Parque Lleras, with restaurants and bars close by; Poblado metro is roughly a 14-minute walk.

• Rooms: Air-conditioned rooms with industrial styling; confirm exterior windows or book the specific balcony category.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com and Expedia, despite occasional individual complaints.

• Service: Helpful, friendly staff receive repeated praise across recent reviews.

• Amenities: Rooftop dining, free Wi-Fi and 24-hour reception are confirmed; the current official site does not confirm a gym or spa.

• Fees and surprises: Minibar items and pets cost extra; Expedia states that only registered guests may enter guestrooms.
