Axel's take: 7.4/10

Good for stadium visits, but room consistency falls short of four-star expectations. a practical 4-star business hotel beside Medellín’s stadium complex, scored for what it is.

Tequendama is a practical 4-star business hotel in Laureles–Estadio, strongest for stadium events rather than a polished getaway. We'd consider it for the convenient metro access, city views and generally helpful staff. Booking.com and Expedia both average around 8/10, and several 2026 guests praise clean rooms and varied breakfasts. Free parking adds useful value.

The reservation is consistency. Tripadvisor and Google guests describe maintenance and housekeeping failures, including separate cockroach reports in 2025, although newer Expedia feedback is largely positive. Guests also reported noisy bathroom renovations in September 2025; completion could not be verified. Ask about construction and whether the jacuzzi and Turkish bath are operating before booking. We'd skip it if quiet sleep, dependable facilities or uniformly polished rooms matter more than stadium access.

• Best for: football fans and concertgoers; business travelers; travelers bringing a car

• Watch out for: uneven maintenance and housekeeping; street noise and past renovation disturbance; unverified jacuzzi and Turkish bath availability

• Location: Handy for the stadium complex; Estadio metro station is roughly nine minutes away on foot.

• Rooms: Air-conditioned rooms with city views; guests report uneven upkeep, occasional noisy A/C and street noise.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive booking-site ratings, but separate 2025 pest and hygiene complaints warrant caution.

• Service: Helpful staff earn frequent praise, though problem handling and restaurant service receive mixed feedback.

• Amenities: Restaurant, bar, rooftop terrace and free parking; confirm jacuzzi and Turkish bath availability.

• Fees and surprises: Airport transfers and pets cost extra; renovation completion remains unverified.
