Axel's take: 8.3/10

Strong service and rooftop views, but construction and nightlife compromise the quiet. a lively 4-star design hotel with rooms and apartments in El Poblado, scored for what it is.

Haven is a lively 4-star design hotel with both compact rooms and larger apartments, well placed for El Poblado’s restaurants and Provenza nightlife. It’s a strong pick if you want a sociable base rather than a retreat. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, cleanliness and rooftop breakfast. The rooftop pool, bar and city views give it more personality than a standard city hotel.

The main compromise is noise: Booking.com and Expedia currently warn of neighboring construction, and guest reports also flag late-night music. Entry-level rooms can be small—the hotel’s Consort room measures just 15 square meters—so choose the category carefully rather than relying on apartment photos. Visitor registration is strict, with extra charges possible. We’d skip it for a quiet recovery break; it makes more sense for couples and friends planning evenings out.

• Best for: couples who enjoy nightlife; friends wanting larger apartments; travelers prioritizing friendly service

• Watch out for: neighboring construction noise; late-night music; compact entry-level rooms

• Location: Walkable access to El Poblado restaurants, Lleras Park and Provenza nightlife.

• Rooms: Compact doubles through multi-bedroom apartments; hot tubs and balconies depend on category.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent Expedia and Tripadvisor feedback.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff earn repeated praise, including reception and restaurant teams.

• Amenities: Rooftop pool, restaurant, bars and buffet breakfast; the rooftop also welcomes outside visitors.

• Fees and surprises: Neighboring construction remains disclosed; expect card guarantees, strict visitor registration and possible additional-guest charges.
