#7 of 9 hotels in Hivernage by Axel's take. Hivernage is #6 of 8 places to stay in Marrakech. The best hotels in Hivernage, ranked · Where to stay in Marrakech

Axel's take: 6.8/10

A handy Hivernage base, but tired rooms weaken the four-star promise. an aging 4-star chain hotel in lively Hivernage, scored for what it is.

Novotel Marrakech Hivernage is an aging 4-star whose strongest selling point is its location, near restaurants and nightlife and within walking distance of the medina. It’s a workable sightseeing base if you prioritize convenience over polish. Expedia guests frequently praise helpful staff and the outdoor pool, while rooms have useful extras such as microwaves and tea-making facilities.

The catch is inconsistent delivery. Recent Accor and Tripadvisor reviews repeatedly describe worn rooms, maintenance problems and delayed check-in, although plenty of Expedia guests report clean, comfortable stays. Air-conditioning complaints matter in Marrakech’s heat. Street noise can run late, and summer 2026 guests reported nearby demolition and early-morning drilling; check whether that work continues before booking. We’d skip it for a quiet getaway or reliably fresh four-star comfort.

  • Best for: location-first city breaks; travelers exploring Hivernage nightlife; sightseers wanting a pool

  • Watch out for: worn rooms and inconsistent maintenance; late-night street noise; nearby construction reported in summer 2026

  • Location: Convenient for Hivernage restaurants and nightlife, with the medina reachable on foot.

  • Rooms: Useful microwaves and tea-making facilities; recurring complaints about tired fittings and air-conditioning.

  • Cleanliness: Many guests report clean rooms, but recent Accor reviews flag uneven housekeeping.

  • Service: Helpful staff earn frequent praise, though check-in delays recur across sources.

  • Amenities: Outdoor pool, fitness center, restaurant and bar; breakfast receives mixed feedback.

  • Fees and surprises: City tax is payable at the property; breakfast may cost extra, depending on your booking.
