#3 of 8 hotels in Agdal by Axel's take. Agdal is #7 of 8 places to stay in Marrakech. The best hotels in Agdal, ranked · Where to stay in Marrakech

Axel's take: 7.8/10

Generous rooms and a standout pool, but five-star polish is uneven. a traditional five-star resort in Marrakech’s Agdal district, scored for what it is.

Kenzi Menara Palace is a traditional five-star resort in Agdal, better suited to pool days with sightseeing trips than exploring the medina on foot. We think its strongest assets are space and hospitality: large rooms with terraces, extensive gardens and a huge outdoor pool. Booking.com and Expedia guests generally praise cleanliness and welcoming staff, while recent Tripadvisor reviews frequently single out helpful reception and bar teams.

The compromise is uneven five-star polish. Reviews across sites describe worn furnishings and maintenance niggles, with some reporting slow restaurant or poolside service. Buffet variety divides opinion, and all-inclusive does not mean every drink, restaurant or minibar item is covered. It’s a good pick for families and couples prioritizing resort space; we’d skip it for immaculate contemporary luxury or a walk-everywhere city break.

  • Best for: families wanting spacious rooms and pool time; couples combining relaxation with sightseeing; travelers prioritizing space over luxury polish

  • Watch out for: dated furnishings and maintenance inconsistencies; variable dining and poolside service; package exclusions and extra charges

  • Location: Agdal resort setting; expect a taxi or shuttle journey rather than a stroll to the medina.

  • Rooms: Very spacious rooms with terraces and large bathrooms; furnishings and upkeep can feel tired.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall cleanliness ratings, despite some recent reports of housekeeping lapses.

  • Service: Welcoming staff are a recurring strength, but restaurant and poolside attentiveness varies.

  • Amenities: Large outdoor pool, gardens, gym, kids’ club and O-SPA with hammams and sauna.

  • Fees and surprises: Check meal-plan, minibar and spa inclusions; half-board drinks cost extra, while parking is listed as free.
