Axel's take: 8.2/10

A strong pick for spacious rooms and pool time, not medina doorstep access. a comfortable 4-star pool hotel in Agdal, outside the medina, scored for what it is.

Kech is a comfortable 4-star in Agdal, better suited to poolside downtime than exploring the old city on foot. We'd choose it for generous room sizes, consistently praised housekeeping and welcoming staff rather than boutique design polish. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the breakfast and helpful service, while Booking.com scores reinforce the strong cleanliness and comfort picture. The courtyard pool adds genuine appeal between sightseeing trips.

The main compromise is location: expect taxis for the medina. Some guests find rooms dated, and occasional complaints about noise and slow problem-solving temper the otherwise positive service reports. Request a pool-facing room rather than assuming every balcony has an attractive outlook. We'd skip it if walk-out access to the souks or consistently polished four-star interiors matters more than space and relaxation.

• Best for: couples mixing sightseeing with pool time; families wanting spacious accommodation; travelers comfortable using taxis

• Watch out for: taxi rides to the medina; some dated rooms and occasional noise; room outlooks vary

• Location: Agdal setting convenient for the airport, but not a walk-out base for the medina.

• Rooms: Spacious and comfortable overall; some guests report tired finishes or disappointing balcony views.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength, with repeated recent praise across Tripadvisor, Expedia and Booking.com.

• Service: Usually warm and helpful, though complaint handling receives occasional criticism.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, restaurants, fitness area and hammam spa; an October 2026 guest praises spa treatments.

• Fees and surprises: City tax applies; airport transfers and early check-in cost extra, while parking is listed as free.
