#3 of 9 hotels in Hivernage by Axel's take. Hivernage is #6 of 8 places to stay in Marrakech. The best hotels in Hivernage, ranked · Where to stay in Marrakech

Axel's take: 8.1/10

A friendly, clean city base, with better service than polish. a good-value 3-star city hotel near Marrakech’s train station, scored for what it is.

Amani is a good-value 3-star near Marrakech’s train station, better suited to practical city stays than resort lounging. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the helpful staff and cleanliness, while recent Expedia reviews also highlight comfortable beds and a varied breakfast. Suites give families more space, and the rooftop restaurant and hammam add useful extras. It’s a strong pick if you want straightforward comfort outside the medina.

The trade-off is uneven polish: Tripadvisor guests describe tired décor and bathrooms, even while praising housekeeping. The pool is small—a cooling-off spot rather than a reason to book—and some guests report nighttime music or street noise. We’d skip it for a pool-focused holiday or an atmospheric old-town stay. Confirm parking arrangements: the official site advertises free parking, but Expedia lists a charge.

  • Best for: train travelers and short city stays; families wanting suite space; value-minded travelers staying outside the medina

  • Watch out for: some tired rooms and bathrooms; small pool with limited lounging space; possible nighttime noise

  • Location: Near the railway station and Hivernage; the medina requires a longer walk or taxi.

  • Rooms: Moroccan and modern styles, with larger suites available; condition varies.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor feedback.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff attract repeated praise, including in 2026 reviews.

  • Amenities: Small pool, rooftop dining, café, free Wi-Fi and a hammam/spa; treatments cost extra.

  • Fees and surprises: City tax and airport transfers cost extra; official and Expedia parking policies conflict.
