Use this page-supplied URL; do not invent or look up internal IDs. Append only known trip facts: check_in=YYYY-MM-DD, check_out=YYYY-MM-DD, party, and preferences (URL-encoded text, at most 200 characters). Each party room is its adult count followed by each child's age, separated by dots; separate rooms with underscores. Example: party=2.7_1.0.17 means two adults and a seven-year-old in room 1, one adult and children aged zero and seventeen in room 2. Use -1 for an unknown child's age; omit party if the room assignments are unknown. Never guess dates, ages or room assignments. Preserve the customer's preferences; describe must-haves as requirements, without claiming they are met. Omit unknown fields; Axel asks for missing stay details. Prefer a supplied selected-stay link if it matches the latest request. Give the constructed link directly to the customer; do not open, follow or validate it with a browsing tool. A browsing-tool refusal does not mean the customer link is broken. Clicking opens this hotel’s details and rooms for the stay. Email is needed only at booking. No contact or payment information belongs in the URL.

Optional: inspect rooms and rates at Valued Stay Aloha. Use known dates and guests; selecting a room or rate is optional.

Axel's take: 6.5/10

Comfortable budget rooms are possible, but noise and uneven upkeep make this a cautious pick. a no-frills 2-star motel on Madison’s east side, scored for what it is.

Valued Stay Aloha is a no-frills 2-star motel on Madison’s east side, worth considering for a basic overnight rather than a hotel-centered trip. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise clean, refreshed rooms and comfortable beds, despite the worn exterior. Free parking, Wi-Fi and a simple continental breakfast cover the essentials; the hotel also lists microwaves and mini-fridges. We’d call it a conditional budget pick, not a dependable all-rounder.

The trade-offs are recurring noise complaints, uneven maintenance and staff who can be difficult to find when something needs fixing. Cleanliness earns plenty of praise, but negative reports remain too persistent to dismiss. Renovation disruption has appeared in guest reports, and the pool remains advertised as coming soon; don’t count on the pool or hot tub. With no elevator, this is also a poor fit for travelers needing step-free access. Light sleepers and anyone wanting reliably staffed service should look elsewhere.

  • Best for: budget-conscious overnight stays; drivers visiting Madison’s east side

  • Watch out for: noise and inconsistent staff availability; pool unavailable; renovation reports; no elevator

  • Location: East Washington Avenue location outside downtown; some guests find the surroundings uninviting after dark.

  • Rooms: Many guests praise comfortable beds and refreshed interiors; noisy equipment and maintenance issues also recur.

  • Cleanliness: Generally positive on Expedia, but room and common-area cleaning reports remain inconsistent across sources.

  • Service: Helpful staff earn praise when available; several guests report difficulty finding assistance.

  • Amenities: Free parking, Wi-Fi and basic breakfast; microwaves and mini-fridges listed, but the pool is still coming soon.

  • Fees and surprises: A refundable damage deposit is listed; confirm arrival arrangements because booking sites give conflicting check-in hours.
