Friendly staff and good breakfast make this a workable stop, but maintenance needs attention. a budget roadside hotel off I-27, scored for what it is.

Baymont by Wyndham Lubbock is a budget roadside hotel off I-27: a reasonable overnight option rather than somewhere to build a vacation around. Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the friendly staff, hot breakfast and value, and many recent visitors describe clean rooms. Free parking, Wi-Fi and in-room microwaves and refrigerators cover the practical basics.

The catch is uneven upkeep. Reviews across both sites describe dated interiors, slow-draining sinks and occasional towel shortages; room condition and mattress comfort vary. The indoor pool is advertised, but a September 2026 Expedia guest reported it closed because it was broken, so confirm reopening before booking around a swim. We'd consider it for a short, budget-minded stay with a car, but skip it if fresh interiors or dependable leisure facilities matter.
