Hotels in Lansing, MichiganA practical 3-star extended-stay suite hotel off I-96
8.0/10
Good suite-style value near MSU, but housekeeping and pool reliability need attention.
This 3-star extended-stay hotel is a strong pick for travelers who want kitchen-equipped suites rather than a basic bedroom. Its location off I-96 makes MSU visits convenient by car, and included breakfast, parking and Monday–Wednesday evening socials add useful value. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the friendly staff and comfortable rooms; a June 2026 Tripadvisor guest also praised renovated accommodation.
The weak spot is consistency, not space. Despite strong overall cleanliness ratings, several recent guests describe missed cleaning in bathrooms or kitchens, alongside occasional maintenance problems. Breakfast gets mixed reviews, too. More importantly, Booking.com guests reported the indoor pool closed in September 2025 and June 2026, although IHG still advertises it. Confirm its current status directly. We'd choose it for longer stays and campus trips, but skip it if swimming is essential or you want a walkable campus location.

Rooms: Kitchen-equipped suites offer useful space; recent guests praise comfort and renovated rooms.
Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings, but repeated recent reports of missed bathroom or kitchen cleaning.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength; recent guests also report prompt maintenance responses.
Amenities: Included breakfast, evening socials, gym and courtyard grills; advertised indoor pool has closure reports.
Fees and surprises: Parking is free; pets carry a nonrefundable fee, and housekeeping frequency should be confirmed.
