Axel's take: 8.1/10
Welcoming staff and good pools make this appealing, but renovations complicate the escape. A comfortable 4-star resort hotel overlooking Lake Como, scored for what it is.
Lodge Geneva National is a comfortable 4-star resort hotel overlooking Lake Como, not a downtown Lake Geneva hotel or an ultra-luxury retreat. It's a strong pick for a pool-focused getaway: Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise welcoming staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Renovated rooms, Crafted Italia and the outdoor pool terrace give it more appeal than a basic hotel.
The biggest catch is ongoing renovation, including parking-lot reconstruction; recent guests report noise and some unusable patios. The marina is closed for the 2026 season. Golf courses, the clubhouse and putting course are a drive away, rather than one walkable resort campus. Expect a resort fee, and don't assume “lakeside” guarantees an unobstructed water view. We'd skip it for a construction-free romantic escape or a car-free stay.
