#6 of 9 hotels in Surulere by Axel's take. Surulere is #6 of 6 places to stay in Lagos, Nigeria. The best hotels in Surulere, ranked · Where to stay in Lagos, Nigeria

Axel's take: 7.0/10

A practical Surulere base, but room comfort and service need checking. a small, independent 3-star hotel in Surulere, scored for what it is.

House 46 is a small, independent 3-star hotel in Surulere that looks best suited to straightforward mainland stays. Its location off Adeniran Ogunsanya is the main draw, with restaurants nearby. Google’s overall rating is reassuring, while Tripadvisor’s handful of guests describe anything from friendly, homely service to merely satisfactory basics. We’d consider it for a short stay focused on this part of Lagos rather than for the hotel itself.

The reservations are room size and consistency: older reviews across Tripadvisor and Hotels.ng mention compact rooms, and service feedback is mixed. Expedia lists no elevator and breakfast at an extra charge. Recent, dated guest evidence is limited—the newest Tripadvisor review we found is from September 2023—so confirm room condition, working Wi-Fi and breakfast inclusions before booking. Skip it if spacious rooms or reliably polished service matter most.

  • Best for: short stays in Surulere; travelers visiting mainland Lagos

  • Watch out for: compact rooms in older guest feedback; mixed service reports; limited recent, dated reviews

  • Location: Off Adeniran Ogunsanya in Surulere, with restaurants nearby and Teslim Balogun Stadium in the area.
