Hotels in Lagos, NigeriaAn independent mid-range boutique hotel on Victoria Island
7.7/10
A convenient Victoria Island base with welcoming staff, but nightlife can compromise sleep.
Riviera Suites is an independent mid-range boutique hotel on Victoria Island, strongest on location and hospitality rather than polished luxury. Booking.com guests rate the location and staff particularly well, while recent Expedia guests praise clean rooms, friendly service and the pool. We'd shortlist it for a convenient Lagos base with restaurants and leisure facilities on site.
The main trade-off is consistency. Guest accounts describe loud bar music and events, uneven room upkeep and bathroom problems; Wi-Fi also scores noticeably below the hotel's other basics on Booking.com. Some newer guests report quiet, spotless rooms, so these issues aren't universal. There is no elevator, despite partial accessibility listings. We'd skip it if uninterrupted sleep, dependable internet or step-free access to an upstairs room is essential.
Axel's opinion, from the hotel's website and recent guest reviews, scored for what the hotel is. Sources: Hotel website · Booking.com · Expedia · Google · en.planetofhotels.com · Tripadvisor. Reviewed Oct 10, 2026.
