Axel's take: 7.8/10

A good Surulere base with welcoming staff, but check noise and booking extras. a small independent mid-range hotel in Surulere, scored for what it is.

Dreams by Dv8 is a small independent mid-range hotel in Surulere, with a rooftop lounge and spa adding appeal beyond a basic overnight stop. We'd consider it for a mainland Lagos stay: recent Hotels.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise welcoming staff and clean, comfortable surroundings. The rooftop and room-service food also earn positive mentions, although the pool of verified stay reviews remains small.

The main trade-offs are limited parking and uncertain quiet. Google feedback flags parking, while one detailed verified review describes disruptive street noise and breakfast covering only one guest. That's a reason to confirm your room position and meal allowance, not dismiss the hotel outright. Expedia also lists an unusually early late-check-in surcharge; clarify arrival terms directly. We'd skip it if guaranteed quiet or plentiful parking is essential.

• Best for: short mainland Lagos stays; business travelers visiting Surulere; travelers who want a rooftop lounge

• Watch out for: limited parking; reserve ahead; street-noise risk; confirm breakfast coverage and arrival surcharges

• Location: On Adelabu Street in Surulere; a practical choice when your plans are on the mainland.

• Rooms: Comfort earns praise, but one guest found their room tight; request dimensions and a quieter position.

• Cleanliness: Several 2025–2026 verified guests praise clean rooms and surroundings.

• Service: Friendly, welcoming staff are a repeated strength, including in October 2026 feedback.

• Amenities: Rooftop lounge, restaurant, spa and Wi-Fi; the official site advertises 24-hour room service.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is free but limited; confirm breakfast for both guests and the listed surcharge for arrival after 3:30 PM.
