#9 of 9 hotels in Kazimierz by Axel's take. Kazimierz is #2 of 7 places to stay in Krakow. The best hotels in Kazimierz, ranked · Where to stay in Krakow

Axel's take: 8.0/10

Good-value private rooms in Kazimierz, but light sleepers should think twice. a no-frills hostel with private en-suite rooms in Kazimierz, scored for what it is.

Moon Hostel Kraków is a no-frills hostel with private bathrooms rather than a conventional hotel. It’s a strong budget pick for travelers spending their days exploring: Kazimierz is on the doorstep, and the Old Town is walkable. Booking.com and Expedia guests broadly praise cleanliness, location and value, while the official site confirms a fridge in every room and a shared kitchen—useful extras for keeping a city break affordable.

The main compromise is noise. Recent Expedia guests describe thin walls and late-night arrivals carrying into rooms; railway noise also gets mentioned. There’s no lift, and reception has limited hours, so check your arrival instructions before traveling. We’d choose it for a simple, practical base, not a restful hotel experience. Skip it if uninterrupted sleep, step-free access or round-the-clock service matters most.

  • Best for: budget-minded couples; friends sharing private rooms; travelers who want kitchen access

  • Watch out for: thin walls and nighttime noise; stairs without a lift; limited reception hours

  • Location: Kazimierz base near restaurants and sights, with the Old Town within walking distance.

  • Rooms: Simple private rooms with en-suite bathrooms and fridges; sound insulation is a recurring weakness.

  • Cleanliness: Generally well rated across Booking.com and Expedia.

  • Service: Staff receive friendly, helpful feedback; arrange access ahead for late arrivals.

  • Amenities: Shared kitchen and free Wi-Fi; breakfast is available at an extra charge.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and airport transfers cost extra; parking spaces are limited.
