#1 of 4 hotels in Podgórze & Zabłocie by Axel's take. Podgórze & Zabłocie is #5 of 7 places to stay in Krakow. The best hotels in Podgórze & Zabłocie, ranked · Where to stay in Krakow

Axel's take: 8.8/10

Spacious rooms and strong service make this a smart alternative to the Old Town. a modern 4-star aparthotel in Podgórze, scored for what it is.

Lwowska 1 is a modern 4-star aparthotel in Podgórze, and a strong pick if you value space over an Old Town doorstep. Recent Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise roomy accommodation, cleanliness, helpful reception staff and a varied breakfast. Some apartments have kitchenettes, making it particularly practical for families and longer stays. The restaurant, sauna and steam bath add useful comforts without making this a luxury hotel.

The main compromise is location: allow roughly half an hour to walk to the Old Town, or use the trams outside. Those trams are convenient but can disturb street-facing rooms, so light sleepers should request a quieter position. Check your room category rather than assuming every unit has cooking facilities, and whether breakfast and parking are included. We'd skip it if being steps from the main square matters more than room size.

  • Best for: families wanting more space; longer city breaks; travelers comfortable using trams

  • Watch out for: tram noise in street-facing rooms; roughly half-hour walk to the Old Town; kitchenettes only in selected apartments

  • Location: Podgórze base with trams outside and Kraków Zabłocie station nearby, rather than an Old Town address.

  • Rooms: Generously sized rooms and apartments; confirm the layout and kitchenette when booking.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall cleanliness ratings, reinforced by repeated praise in recent guest reviews.

  • Service: Reception earns consistent praise for friendliness, practical help and arranging transport.

  • Amenities: Restaurant, buffet breakfast, gym, Finnish sauna and steam bath; no swimming pool.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking costs extra unless included; breakfast depends on your booking, and pets attract a surcharge.
